
Ramesh Ramakrishnan (RR) is a Photographer, artist and marketer with over three decades of
corporate experience in Marketing, Strategy and General Management in companies like P&G, Philips,
Seagram/Pernod–Ricard and Dumex/Danone. Returning to academics in 2018 he graduated with an MA in
Asian Art History from Goldsmiths University of London studying in LaSalle College Singapore. He
completed his Artist residency as a photographer / artist in MES56 YOGJAKARTA an artist space focused
on contemporary photography exploring the photographs of the Hidden Base of Borobudur. RAMESH did
his MA thesis on photography of transgender people in Asia and he is currently working on a few long term
projects based on River Cultures, Sacred Spaces and Gender Photography Currently he is an artist in
residence in Tentacles art gallery in BKK. In Tentacles he is working on exploring the changing culture of
the Chaopraya river that flows through Bangkok and Southern Thailand as a basis for his PhD studies.
