“18 Minute Walk” is an installation work inspired by Scott’s daily experience of “getting a coffee”. Exploring ideas associated with reductive painting, deconstruction, new materials and painting as a hybridised practice he has produced a series of works loosely motivated by the architectural forms, grids, grills and manhole covers located between tentacles residence and The Up Rama 3.
About the Artist
Scott’s practice is an ongoing investigation into place/non-place and transition/flux within urban environments, and how cultural identities influence one’s understanding of place. His expanded painting practice explores ideas relating to construction/deconstruction, often using found materials to create spatially ambiguous environments that cannot be realized within a single work.
